Backend Team Lead – Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Backend Team Lead to drive the development of scalable APIs and manage backend operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to build high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the backend development team
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs
• Define system architecture and ensure best coding practices
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams for seamless integration
• Review code, manage deployments, and ensure quality standards
• Optimize application performance and database efficiency
• Identify and resolve technical challenges and bottlenecks

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in backend development (Laravel, Node.js, or similar)
• Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and system architecture
• Proficiency in database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Knowledge of caching, queues, and performance optimization
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Leadership and team management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines
